Jack Million Band - Jump, Jive & More (2002)

The wonderful Belgium-based Jack Million Band is one of several I think you should know about. When you visit the Jack Million Band site, you will learn that Jack Million is Jack Coenen, a highly talented Belgium-based big band and orchestra leader, trombonist, arranger, and music educator. In short, Jack is a musician’s musician. In his career Jack has worked with world famous stars like Shirley Bassey and Natalie Cole. Currently he is also teacher at the Conservatory of Maastricht and provides musical impulses by making his own arrangements.

Jack made 3 CD's with Swing Design with mainly Jack's arrangements (the 'sound' which is at this moment completed by the Jack Million Band). Jack had also 2 tours to the United States of America with Swing Design with shows in Las Vegas and at the 'Monterey Dixie Festival' in Monterey CA as highlights. The Jack Million Band was founded by Jack Coenen in 1996. The Jack Million Band exists of 22 musicians including 4 vocalists. Every one of them talented and with stage experience. A broad and varied repertoire, enthousiasm and spontaneity sets the Big Band apart from the others. The Jack Million Band had large succes with shows and tours in the USA, Germany, Belgium and The Netherlands. Because of the band's international fame it was invited to play at the millenium celebration of the German government in the Reichstag in Berlin. The CD "Jump Jive and More" has been sold over 55.000 times worldwide, because of the sound, arranged by Jack Coenen and played by the Jack Million Band.
